The last general PTA meeting of the year will be held on Thursday, May 17, at 2:30 in the library. Nominations for the five open Executive Board positions will be announced, any additional nominations will be taken from the floor, and then the 2012-2013 PTA Board will be voted in by members present at the meeting. Interested nominees must have been official PTA members for at least 30 days prior to nomination.

In addition to electing the new board and providing a wrap-up of the year's activities, Silva Valley's Volunteer of the Year will be named. Please come join us at the meeting!
Bake Sale May 22
Please bring desserts for this year’s Open House on Tuesday, May 22. Desserts can be either homemade or store bought. Leave them at the office on Monday May 21 or Tuesday May 22.
Please remember to package all desserts for a $1.00 re-sale.

The PTA board was able to fund the remaining $15,000 for the new book room (reading comprehenson) program! Thank you to everyone for your generous support. Through diligent efforts, $50,000 was allocated to the administration to complete the purchase of materials and roll out the new reading comprehension program for our students! Please make sure to check out the expanded book room at back to school night.
